Job Summary:
The Casual Duty Manager plays a key role in the daily operations of Hotel Renmark, ensuring smooth service across all departments, maintaining high customer service standards, and handling operational challenges as they arise. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to oversee hotel operations during shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support staff across all hotel departments, including bar, bistro, gaming, and accommodation.

  • Ensure high levels of customer service and address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Oversee hotel security, including RSA and RSG compliance, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for staff and guests.

  • Assist with cash handling, end-of-day reconciliations, and banking procedures.

  • Ensure hotel policies, procedures, and licensing requirements are followed at all times.

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, presentation, and functionality of all public areas.

  • Support team members during busy periods as needed.

  • Handle emergency situations, including first aid incidents, customer disputes, and maintenance issues.

  • Communicate effectively with the Hotel Manager and other senior staff regarding any operational concerns or improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous hospitality or management experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and RSG (Responsible Service of Gaming) certifications (or willingness to obtain).

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Basic financial and cash-handling skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Casual position with varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

  • Standing for extended periods and some physical tasks required.

  • Fast-paced hospitality environment.
